CurveBall is a beloved project, up and coming in Attingal. The process of arriving at this design included demolishing the older, existing house with care, and picking apart the pieces which can be reused and worked into the new design. Rubble masonry from the older building was carefully taken apart, documented and redesigned as a curved wall, using the well as the focal point. Wood procured from the doors, windows, panelling and false ceiling was also used in the new design. The roof tiles are used to design the front facing window cover. The inner curved staircase made of concrete sits beautifully amidst the living area of the home, and the central form highlights the prayer space. Finally, the first floor window crafted from metal, is one complex detail that can surely evoke your attention!
