Curved Wall of Bricks

It is a small 2bhk house located in a residential neighbourhood in Andhra Pradesh. This 1600ft house was built within a limited budget and also as per Vastu. Privacy in this residence was a primary concern as it had roads abutting the site. For the same reason, the dining and living spaces were pushed away from the front and instead brought in the stairs in the elevation. This was solved by bringing in an interesting play with bricks and small windows. To accentuate the elevation an angular brick wall was used to also conceal the stairs. Its open plan gave its audience the illusion of spacious voluminous interiors.
