Brick Veil

Brick Veil is designed by reinterpreting the traditional Naalukettu style with courtyards and openings as per the requirement of the clients. In a site surrounded by trees, the rooms and spaces are arranged around the central courtyard, with a view of the greens from each space. While reinterpreting a traditional style, a careful choice of materials and design elements like angular planes and brick motif front façade was considered to give the design a unique touch, which would otherwise have been regular. The water wall in the central courtyard is a playful element that elevates its spatial quality during monsoons. The corten steel window in the living room can flexibly be used as a screen for privacy or a large opening which is a source of lighting, ventilation and view to the outside.
